Dev Log #005 — The First Real CMS and Public Hub Plan

JamesJul 30, 2025

This week I started thinking beyond the game itself.

If Firetorn is going to grow, it needs more than a login page. It needs a public home for updates, guides, wiki articles, development notes, rules, support information, and eventually a full knowledge base for players.

That is where the idea for Firetorn.net starts to make sense.

Firetorn.com can stay focused on the game. Firetorn.net can become the development blog, wiki, guide archive, and community knowledge hub. That keeps the game cleaner while giving players and search engines a place to discover content.

I want this hub to feel like part of the Firetorn universe, not a generic documentation site. It should use the same dark tone, red accents, sharp typography, and organized layout. Players should be able to read a dev log, jump into a guide, browse wiki pages, and then return to the game.

This also gives me a place to document the build honestly. Firetorn is not appearing out of nowhere. It is being built piece by piece, and those pieces deserve a record.
