Dev Log #014 — The Travel System Becomes Real
The travel system has gone from a rough idea to one of the defining features of Firetorn.
After weeks of thinking about how players move around the world, I keep coming back to the same conclusion: travel should take time.
Instant travel makes the world feel small. Real-world travel times make every destination feel meaningful.
If a player wants to fly across the country, they should commit to that decision.
This changes strategy. It changes planning. It changes how players interact with the world.
The exact travel times are still being determined, but the concept itself is becoming a permanent part of Firetorn.
